It's only been four months since the Met Gala, but planning for next year's soiree is already underway!
Today, even announced next year's theme, which will explore the influence of Chinese art and culture on Western fashions.
The gala, set to take place on May 4 (May the Fourth Be With You Day!!!), will be co-hosted by Jennifer Lawrence, Anna Wintour, Wendi Murdoch, Gong Li, and Marissa Mayer.
We wonder if Raf Simons will whip up something extra special for J.Law!
We're assuming she'll wear Dior since she's the brand's face, but maybe instead of going for a new outfit, she can access something from the archives, particularly the S/S 2007 collection.
Called Chinese Whispers: Tales of the East in Art, Film, and Fashion, the exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art will be prepared by the Costume Institute and the museum's Department of Asian Art, and will feature a look at the Asian-influenced designs of John Galliano, Alexander McQueen, and Laurence Xu, among many others.
We just hope attendees will keep things subtle. The risk of coming across as offensive seems rather high.
At least they have plenty of time to get it right!
