As Robin Leach settles into a northern Italian lake district lifestyle before his traditional summer vacation under the Tuscan sun in Italy - plus Lake Como and Lake Maggiore this year - many of our Strip personalities have again stepped forward in his absence to pen their own words of wisdom. We continue today with hair guru to the stars Michael Boychuck.
It's that time of year again when my longtime friend Robin Leach enjoys his annual trip to Italy. I am happy to take this opportunity to reflect on the past year and look forward to what's to come while Robin enjoys some well-deserved R&R!
It's been a busy year for us at my salon Color in Caesars Palace, as well as at LifeSpa + Salon at Life Time Fitness in Summerlin.
As official beauty sponsor to the Miss Nevada USA Organization, which is led by my great friend Shanna Moakler, I was ecstatic to watch Nevada's very own Nia Sanchez crowned Miss USA this year. It has been amazing to work with Nia the past few months and to give her the winning hair color for the Miss USA stage.
In addition to working with Nia, I have been lucky to work with other beauty queens including 2011 Miss USA Alyssa Campanella, 1995 Miss USA Shanna Moakler, 2013 Miss Nevada USA Chelsea Caswell and 2012 Miss Nevada USA Jade Kelsall, among others.
These ladies are beautiful and talented, and I'm happy to be able to have them as clients, but even happier to call them friends. I also would like to recognize one of Color's very own stylists, Lavetta Schneider, who was crowned Mrs. Nevada America this year. Way to go, Lavetta!

I've also been busy traveling this year, most recently to Macau with Robin. We had a great time, and, while I was there, I had an eye out for new trends and styles. The latest local hairstyles I encountered while abroad gave me inspiration for my own salons, as well as for the Online Hair Academy.
