Next to the lob, creative hair colors like blue and purple have become one of the hottest trends of the summer, and edgy style enthusiast Kesha is the latest celebrity to get on board! After posting a photo from her fun hair dye party to Instagram (our invitation must have gotten lost in the mail ...), the star was spotted at the airport in Los Angeles with a pale cerulean tone. Kesha has rocked literally every color of the rainbow in the past, so it's no surprise to us that she can pull off her current baby blue shade with ease. While Rita Ora and Anna Paquin decided to mix both blue and purple hues into one edgy style, the singer has already been down the lavender hair path, and joins stars like Nicole Richie and Kylie Jenner in the trend.
If the star's makeover has you feeling blue, be sure to consider your natural hair color before making any dramatic changes. Because of the already-light base, blond strands like Kesha's can easily take on creative shades with just one jar of Manic Panic dye, but darker hues will need to be bleached out prior to shifting in shades. You'll also need to take extra steps to keep your color from going brassy, as blue dye will take on a greenish effect if mixed with yellow or orange undertones.
