Fire crews were called to an Exmouth hair salon this afternoon after reports of smoke coming from a flat.
Three fire engines were sent to the scene of Rapunszels hair saloon, Albion Street at 12:19pm today.
Upon arrival, crews found one small fire in the kitchen above a hair saloon and used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet, one covering jet, and a thermal imaging camera.
One cat was rescued by fire service personnel.
The blaze involved materials that had been left on the hob in the kitchen, minor damage to property.
