Hmm... Is Justin Bieber's new hairstyle Selena Gomez-approved?
The 20-year-old looked like he just rolled out of bed when he was snapped on a walk in Los Angeles on Tuesday with his buddy Lil Za and some burly bodyguards. While our eyes darted in many directions when we first saw the pictures - we were thinking how his 'patience' neck tattoo looks like a long, dangly earring and how he won't be winning moustache-growing contests anytime soon - our eyes stopped on his bizarre bangs, which reminded us of a fan or, better yet, a cockatoo.

We don't feel bad analyzing his freaky fringe, which is a new look for the 'Baby' singer, because he's been doing the same recently with his manager, Scooter Braun. '#facetimemoments talking new music and new hairstyle? with @justinbieber,' Braun, whose job description apparently goes well beyond career advice, posted on Instagram last week, along with another shot of Bieber's curious crop.
The singer is reportedly back together with Selena Gomez for the umpteenth time, making us wonder if the Spring Breakers actress, who's known for her fashion-forward looks, is a fan of his cockatoo 'do.
While his Beliebers seem to love him no matter how he styles his hair - or how many missteps he makes - this look is a far cry from the signature side-swept shag hairstyle that his fans first fell in love with when he burst onto the scene in 2008. Looking at his new cut makes us long for the swoop.

The Biebs holding meetings with his manager to discuss his locks also makes us chuckle considering the many more pressing issues he should probably be addressing with his management team. True, he's now largely off the hook for his Miami DUI and avoided jail for egg-gate in L.A., but, in addition to the lingering Toronto assault charges, he has found himself the target of another civil lawsuit filed by a paparazzo claiming he was roughed up by Bieber's bodyguards and had his camera was destroyed while snapping the star in Hawaii last November. That new legal matter is just one of several civil suits he has pending.
And with his most recent album, Journals, failing to top the charts, you'd think discussions about his next step musically would dominate the agenda.
But, as they say, image is everything in Hollywood... though that doesn't really explain this unusual new look.
