Meet the Frauxhawk, the Latest Hairstyle You Need to Know About

There's an offshoot of the fake mohawk (or fauxhawk, if you will) Jessica Lowndes wore last night to the premiere of The Prince that I'd like to discuss for just a moment. You see, she has the strip of her hair pulled back down the middle of her head to mimic the idea of a mohawk, but the hair is French braided. So it's instead of a fauxhawk, it's a fraux-hawk.

We've seen versions of this hairstyle before, but I've never officially given it a name in my head until now. It's hung in there, it's earned it. If I had an unplugged curling iron and it had shoulders, I'd officially name it as if I were the queen at a knighting, but I guess I'll just have to settle for declaring its moniker in this post.

Say hi to the frauxhawk, everyone.
