Woman crashes into beauty salon on northwest side 
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.- Emergency crews responded to an accident on the northwest side after a woman crashed her car into a hair salon Friday morning.
The accident occurred in the 6100 block of North Michigan Road around 6 a.m. Police said the woman was driving southbound on Michigan Road, when she crossed over to the northbound lanes before driving through the lawn of the salon.
No one was inside the salon at the time of the accident.
The woman was able to get herself out of the car.
'Airbags are a wonderful thing,' said Bonnie Hensley with IFD. 'She got out and walked next door.'
The woman was transported to St. Vincent's hospital in stable condition.
Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
