Pop star Lady Gaga has taken on a striking resemblance to her friend Donatella Versace in the fashion house's latest campaign.
'Versace is proud to confirm that Lady Gaga is the face of its Spring/Summer 2014 campaign,' announced the brand on their Facebook page this weekend. As widely rumored, Gaga was shot by famed fashion photographers Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott.

VersaceThe 27-year-old appears in the images draped across a couch, with long 'Versace platinum blonde' hair (while the brand can't claim ownership over the hair color, Gaga's 'do' is certainly rather reminiscent of Donatella's super-straight, super-blonde tresses).
In the main campaign shot the singer wears a lilac-colored bandage dress with the brand's famous Medusa head emblem appearing on chunky silver accessories: 'the campaign shows how Lady Gaga completely captures the Versace essence: creative, experimental, fearless,' trumpeted the Italian label.

To add to the all-out Versace onslaught, Gaga then made an appearance at the American Music Awards Sunday night in a series of custom Versace looks, performing in an Atelier Versace Swarovski crystal structured jacket and crystal pleated skirt, which she removed to reveal a matching crystal bodysuit.
