MOST women do their best to shed the pounds but former model Yvonne Keating has revealed her joy at gaining weight after a 'stressful' year.
The mother said that she noticed she had put on one stone after the zip recently burst in a dress that was loose on her a year ago, but she was 'delighted'.
She said: 'My dress that I wore to the ITV party . . . Lisa Fitzpatrick had to cut me out of it afterwards because the zip burst. And I wore that nearly one year ago, and it was nearly loose on me then. I am delighted to have put on a stone.'
She said she has no clue as to what has caused the weight gain, but that she is embracing her new curves.
'I had lost a lot of weight last year. I didn't even notice it - it had just kind of crept back up. I think it was probably the stress of last year, and now I'm not stressed. Everyone has different goals, but I never wanted to be that skinny.'
Since Yvonne's marriage to Ronan Keating ended, she has found love with cinematographer John Conroy.
Not content with conquering the catwalk and television, Yvonne is now pursuing print and revealed that she has partnered with an Irish magazine where she will be interviewing celebrities and high-profile friends.
'I am really excited to do that. This is just another box to tick, something different to do,' she said.
Yvonne was speaking at yesterday's ISPCC/Elvery's 'Winter Warmers' launch.
