She followed in the high-heeled footsteps of Pamela Anderson and Jennifer Hudson to get Hollywood's new hair obsession, the pixie cut, and now Kristin Chenoweth is the centre of attention.

On the set of her new movie, The Boy Next Door, Kristin was all a-glow as she chatted and chuckled with the cast and crew while waiting for the cameras to roll

The 45-year-old actress and singer seemed to put her co-star Jennifer Lopez in the shade with her dazzling new look. Little wonder she tweeted later that day about having 'fun at work'.

Kristin's new pixie look, which her hairstylist Jonathan J Hanousek has revealed was inspired by the styles of Charlize Theron and Jenna Elfman, has certainly got everyone talking.

On the set of The Boy Next Door, Jenna looked like a true femme fatale in killer orange wedge heels, a low-cut purple and green patterned dress showing plenty of her great legs and that now face-flattering new hairstyle.

Stylist Jonathan has also pointed out that he kept Kristin's bangs a bit longer than on other clients of his asking for the pixie cut to accentuate her fine cheekbones.

Not letting go! Kristin wasn't about to relinquish her crisps to anyone on set when called before the cameras Hairstylist Jonathan says his secret weapon for Kristin's hair is Moroccanoil Frizz Control which he noted on Kristin added the 'perfect amount of weight without making her hair feel greasy.

He also blow dries her hair with White Sands Undercover Styling Spray because it has a medium hold which he knowingly says give her hair just enough control without being stiff.

After Jonathan waved his pixie magic wand on Kristin's hair earlier this month Kristin tweeted 'New haircut, new year, championship? Oh yea.'

The Boy Next Door is already shaping up as one of 2014's must-see movies. Jennifer Lopez plays a woman who hopelessly falls for a dangerous toyboy.

So perhaps Jennifer was getting ready to sob for the cameras as she waited around on the set of the movie in Los Angeles on Monday.

The 44-year-old actress looked emotional as she chatted with the film's director Rob Cohen, and even wiped her face with a handkerchief as she psyched herself up for her big dramatic moment.

Jennifer's cardigan was wrapped snugly around her body and served to both keep her warm and brighten her complexion as well.

Paired with a feminine pink skirt, the canny star looked like she knew exactly what she was doing as she went over the day's scenes with the filmmaker.

The saucy actress wore her hair in a casual updo with bangs parted in the middle and silky strands falling around her cheeks, which allowed a peek at her gold earrings.

Latina lovely Jennifer looked like she was listening intently as she held her tissue, which was no doubt a key prop for a scene in which her character pays a visit to her friend, played by Kristin Chenoweth.

The low-budgeted thriller has been shooting all month in the City Of Angels.

In it Jennifer plays a single mother who begins an affair with the teenaged boy who lives next door and befriends her son.

When she tries to break things off, the young man becomes obsessed with her and becomes dangerous.

The Boy Next Door, which is set for a 2014 release, is being directed by Rob Cohen who previously helmed The Fast And The Furious and xXx.

Blumhouse Productions, which is responsible for such horror flicks as Insidious and Paranamoral Activity, is producing the movie along with Jennifer's Nuyorican Productions.
