Red carpet's an eerie walk for new dad Emile Hirsch; Katy Perry and John Mayer are looking at rings

was having none of Janice Dickinson wandering around with her big bag of medical supplies at Equality Now's 'Make Equality Reality' party in Beverly Hills on Monday night.
The kooky former model attended the Gucci and Skype-sponsored event, where she was telling partygoers she's 'been doing stem cells' in China because the injections hadn't yet been approved in the U.S., a spy tells Confidenti@l.
Dickinson, 58, then handed out business cards for Blue Horizon International stem cell, where she's a spokeswoman, saying, 'You will feel the difference right away.'
The difference in what, we have no idea.
According to our insider, Dickinson was warmly greeted by Maria Shriver, who was there with daughters Katherine and Christina Schwarzenegger, but got a major cold shoulder from Fonda, who was shmoozing with the trio at the gathering.
Our tipster says Fonda first gave Dickinson a once-over, looking her up and down with disapproval, then ignored her before turning to someone else to talk about a book she's working on that deals with 'sex appeal and equality.'
Also in the house was queen feminist Gloria Steinem, who is still fighting for women's rights after lending that cause her voice for the past half-century. She delivered a speech at the event addressing human trafficking and prostitution in the U.S.
When a well-wisher thanked her for a lifetime of political activism, the 79-year-old writer simply said, 'there is still a lot work to be done.'

Others at the party included 'Touch' actress Maria Bello, who found Jada Pinkett Smith 's funky new Mohican-inspired 'do appealing.
'I love your hair!' Bello told Smith. Smith and her show-stopping half-shaved head later donated $10,000 to Equality Now.
It wasn't just a ladies night at the star-studded Montage Hotel soiree. 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' creator Joss Whedon was also honored while 'Buffy' actress Alyson Hannigan watched.
Late-night talk show kingpin Jay Leno also stopped by where he chatted with fellow funnyman Paul Reiser, who hosted the event.
Dickinson yelled across the room, 'Mr. Leno - I love you!' The 'Tonight Show' host quickly excused himself, saying he had to go and prepare for that night's show.
The evening ended with Grammy-winning 'Bubbly' singer Colbie Caillat performing three songs for the crowd, which included Ricki Lake, Lily Tomlin and Shannon Elizabeth.
OH BABY, A TOUGH RED CARPET
Red carpet organizers made sure there was no funny business at the premiere of 'The Motel Life,' where reporters were warned that if they posed any personal questions to the film's star Emile Hirsch, the new dad would check out immediately.
Last month Confidenti@l exclusively reported that Hirsch had impregnated a Florida woman with whom he had a fling. The woman gave birth to a son named Valor last week. Apparently it's still a touchy subject.
'This was the most awkwardly quiet carpet ever,' reports one spy. 'It was almost heavy and depressing.'
Even the film's stars, Hirsch and Stephen Dorff, were overheard discussing the intense perp-walk nature of their long stroll down the red carpet.
Last week Hirsch was seen snuggling his newborn son in a sweet photo. As we previously reported, Hirsch plans to 'take care' of his child despite not being in a relationship with the baby's mother.
'He is doing the right thing and will be taking care of her and his baby financially,' an insider told us in early October.

Dream Downtown will soon have the first American outpost of La Bodega Negra, Confidenti@l can reveal. The hip London-based Mexican eatery is a favorite of Prince Harry, Kylie Minogue and Harry Styles. Nightlife kingpins Noah Tepperberg and Serge Becker have teamed with top British restaurateur Will Ricker to open at the hotel in early 2014.

Geraldo Rivera hinted he may be working on a new TV project when he hosted a book party to celebrate the launch of best-selling author Mike Walker's latest page-turner, 'Out for Blood: Private Diary of a Gossip Vampire' on Monday night. Rivera was at Ivy Bar and Grill with his gorgeous wife, Erica Levy, to toast former National Enquirer columnist Walker on his latest novel, which is about a gossip reporter who is also a blood-sucking vampire.

'Pretty Little Liars' actress Ashley Benson is teaming up with Cosmopolitan magazine, the USO and Maybelline to kiss the troops. On Veterans Day, Benson will kiss a postcard at 8 a.m. that will be sent to U.S. troops stationed overseas. New Yorkers are invited to join the action and hit the pop-up kissing booth, at Broadway and 46th St., where their sealed-with-a-smooch postcards will be sent overseas and matched with a $1 donation to the USO of Metropolitan New York.
SHAYK AND BAKE IN MIAMI As one of the few supermodels not walking in this year's Victoria's Secret fashion show, Russian model Irina Shayk looked positively indifferent while on a run in Miami on Tuesday. The 27-year-old veteran of Sports Illustrated's swimsuit issue will soon be filming with Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson for the upcoming 'Hercules' movie. Shayk will play Herk's romantic interest Megara in the Brett Ratner-directed film.

Wild horses couldn't drag Kate Upton away from Emirates Melbourne Cup Day at Newminster Stables in Australia on Monday. The Sports Illustrated model nuzzled the snout of Cup runner Voleuse de Coeurs. DON'T 'CHEW' ON THIS
'The Chew' host Daphne Oz brought her cooking skills to Daniel on the Upper East Side Monday, where she created caviar Bellini appetizers, but couldn't taste-test her creation due to a real-life bun in the oven. The six- months-preggers chef was at the Van Cleef & Arpels event to celebrate the National Design Museum's Design by Hand series. One guest overheard the TV star craving caviar and fresh seafood more than anything, but abstained because of that baby bump.
