Hair salon robbery could be connected to others, police say


MADISON, Wis. -


The robbery at a hair salon on University Avenue could be connected to other similar robberies, according to Madison police.


Officers were called to Paisley Hair Salon at 1941 University Ave. at 7:55 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a man with a knife who robbed the store.


An employee told police she was either pushed or tripped and fell as the robber approached while he was swinging his knife around. Someone showed the robber where the money was, and he took it and ran.


The man is described as white, 35-45 years old, 6 feet tall, weighing 160 to 170 pounds with short brown hair and a bald spot on top of his head. He's also a cigarette smoker.
