Hairstylist Orlando Pita reimagined Brigitte Bardot's signature sexpot blowout for the 21st century at Diane von Furstenberg's Spring 2015 show, shown above on Kendall Jenner. To update the look, he added a messy-but-not-disheveled bedhead texture and skipped the teasing. 'Teasing turns it retro,' he said. Instead, he used volumizer, dry shampoo, and a curling iron to get an 'airy, light' effect. 'I'm roughing it up with my fingers for the bedhead texture, and because of the dry shampoo, it just stays up,' Pita told us backstage. This look has just about everything going for it: It's easy, laid-back, and flat-out gorgeous. It's also the perfect-go to style for Thanksgiving weekend, which is officially upon us. Here's why:
* For traveling: You won't need to lug 12 products and three hair tools in your suitcase just to pull this off; it pretty much just takes a good dry shampoo or texturizing spray and your fingers. Who knew you were so low-maintenance?
* For the Thanksgiving Eve unofficial class reunion: It doesn't make you look like you're trying too hard or spent hours primping-instead, all those high school friends you haven't seen in years will just assume you now routinely roll out of bed looking this amazing.
* For Thanksgiving Day: It gets your hair out of your face just enough that your mom won't have anything to nag about. It's also quick, so you can style your hair, then move on to more important things-parade-watching, football, and, of course, eating.
* For Black Friday: If you're one of those up-at-the-crack-of-dawn Black Friday-ers, this style can be thrown into a messy ponytail in two seconds so nothing will slow you down or get in the way of you busting all of those doors they talk about in commercials.
