This Week In Chic: Black Girl Hair Problems

Truth be told, I love my afro hair! There are those days though, when I am tempted to take sheers to my head and go NUTS. Sigh. This week is one of those weeks. On average, my hair takes about 8 hours to wash and get manageable, and a couple of days to dry (it being so thick and all). Imagine my chagrin when I realized that I needed to come up with a style for my hair that would allow me to swim in a pool without damaging my hair. #umwhat?!?!? Anyway, Since last Sunday, I have been braiding my hair by myself in an effort to keep my hair protected and presentable for my on air appearances. As you can imagine, this takes time, as I have TONS of hair. Sigh. Hence the bun atop my head on air yesterday! Next week, my hair will be back to it's big, fabulous self, in the form of teeny-weeny twists! Until then, thanks for not sending in tons of hate mail about my toned down 'doo'. LOL! Anywho, here's my look of the day!
