The awards honor Latinas in the L.A.-area who have excelled in various aspects of the business world. Candidates from across a range of industries are nominated for specific categories by NLBWA-LA members. The NLBWA-LA will announce the winners tonight at a special ceremony, which it is holding at The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences in North Hollywood. Previous years' award winners include: Lizette Salas (pro golfer, Ladies Professional Golf Association); Lupita Sanchez-Cornejo (Director of External Affairs, AT&T Communications, Inc.) and Maria Contreras-Sweet (Founding Chairwoman, ProAmérica Bank).
