Hair Experts Weigh In on Five of the Best Bridal Styles

Stil stumped on picking a bridal hair style? Torn on whether to go down and wavy or up and controlled? We asked five hair experts to pick their favorite ways to style a bride for the big day-and their responses work just as well for bridesmaids and party guests.

After the jump, see what Alli Webb of Drybar, David Babaii of Blo, Austin Call of Aveda, Janine Jarman of Hairroin and Sebastian Professional, and Elie Camoro of Frederic Fekkai have to recommend (fishtail braids, Kate Hudson-curls, and flowers all included).

Alli Webb, Founder of Drybar: I love flowy, romantic hairstyles for brides. Lots of loose curls or waves is the perfect way to make a bride feel beautiful and is always a crowd pleaser. Whether it's all down, half up/half down, or all up, keep it soft so you can dance and celebrate the night away while having effortless hair!

David Babaii, Partner of Blo Blow Dry Bar: My favorite hair styles that work best for summer brides include hair up and off the neck. This keeps you cool and fresh looking all day long. One option is a soft loose braid or a sleek straight low pony tail.

Austin Call, Aveda Stylist: A fresh interpretation of a simple chignon boasts sophistication and elegance for the modern bride. The detail of a perfectly-polished braid adds a refreshing touch for this season's bridal trend.

Janine Jarman, Owner of Hairroin Salon and Stylist for Sebastian Professional: I do tons of weddings and have for years. The most special are the ones I've done for my family. This photo is of my cousin Courtney, who I dare say is one of my favorites. She wanted something glamorous yet understated, which captured her wedding and her style perfectly.

She wore a fuller-bottomed dress so I wanted to balance her hair with volume. I also think it's a great idea to keep it to one side so you can get those fantastic over-the-shoulder and profile shots without having to fight with your hair. I custom made a hair flower to complement her hip dress embellishment.

Elie Camoro, Stylist at Frederic Fekkai Fifth Avenue: I love a French fishtail braid on brides. They're more relaxed than an updo but just as special. For the style I created, I pulled the braid lose and to the side and I added little white flowers for a beautiful, fairy tale look. · All Weddings Week 2014 Coverage [Racked NY]
