EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP - Somers Place, formerly known as Mey House, is under new ownership with a team of healthcare professionals dedicated to providing quality care and services to seniors.
Somers Place offers a full-time registered nurse who partners with each resident to build a customized, individual plan of care to maintain their health, well being and happiness. It also offers programming that celebrates each resident's unique needs and abilities in a supportive and lively community.
Somers Place has also introduced Carleen's @ Somers Place, a full-service hair salon owned and operated by Carleen Woods, a longtime resident of Somers Point who is now fulfilling her dream with her own salon inside the residential facility.
Carleen's @ Somers Place offers traditional and modern styles for men and women including the latest products, Keratin treatments and Goldwell colors. Carleen's previous experience as a hairstylist includes former salon ownership in Ocean City and stylist services at Euro Color and Wired Hair Salon.
'I am excited to be doing what I love and opening my doors, talent and services to both to the Somers Place residents and local community,' said Woods.
'We are so excited to extend a full service hair salon as an amenity to our residents, family and friends,' said Karine Mendez, Somers Place executive director.
