Well, This Is One (Cray) Way To Fake A Haircut

Anytime we're contemplating changing up our hair color, we ask ourselves this: WWAFD? As in, what would Aura Friedman do? She's the go-to colorist for top models and editors alike for good reason - even a brief perusal of Friedman's Instagram account reveals no hue is too tricky for this seasoned pro. Case in point: When OKFocus creative director Ruth Gruca requested a color to match the exact shade of her shirt, Friedman totally nailed it - we can hardly tell where the dye stops and her top begins.

According to the caption, Gruca was aiming for a tromp l'oeil look to create the illusion that she'd had a haircut. Call it the ultimate April Fools' Day beauty prank or just a clever way to preview a new, shorter 'do - either way, we're totally digging this look. But, we're left wondering: Does this mean she's stuck wearing the same shirt for life? We kid, we kid - we're sure her silver-y strands will look just as cool sans camouflage. (But, let's just say if we were her, we'd buy this top in triplicate.)

Though we're not quite ready to dub this one a full-fledged trend, we're still eager to know: Would you dye your hair to match your shirt? Weigh in, below.
