Hair models needed for Hampton seminar

HAMPTON--Want to strut down the runway with a new hairdo?

On Friday, March 28 at 6 p.m. and Saturday, March 29 at 10 a.m., the public is invited to participate in free screening consultations.

Roughly a hundred volunteers will be selected before the seminar to serve as models and will receive these color, highlighting, cutting, and smoothing services free of charge during the event.

No previous modeling experience is necessary. Both women and men are welcome to attend the screenings. The screenings will ask questions about the model's lifestyle, work environment and comfort with a hairstyle change. People will be notified upon completion of their screening that they've been selected to be a model and given further instruction at that time. Over 1,800 hair stylists and 50 nationally-renowned platform artists and educators will meet for the hairstyling seminar Saturday and Sunday, March 29-30 at the Hampton Roads Convention Center. There will be educational components demonstrating cut, color, smoothing, and various other popular techniques for the upcoming seasons.
