Bradley Cooper has revealed that his curly hairstyle in American Hustle was influenced by classic NBA stars.
Cooper, Christian Bale, Amy Adams and Jennifer Lawrence star in director David O Russell's film, which dramatises the ABSCAM scandal of the late 1970s.

Speaking to Access Hollywood, Cooper made light of the tremendous work that went into crafting his hairstyle.
'A lot of black baseball players at the time curled their hair,' Cooper revealed. 'I think that's [my character's] inspiration [behind the look].'
He then joked: 'It was three hours, every day and 110 of those pink curlers.'
His co-star Adams recently opened up about having to kiss Lawrence in American Hustle.
'Well, I feel like Jennifer really made that contribution. I came up with the idea, but she executed it in a way that felt driven purely from character,' Adams said.
'It didn't just feel like a moment where two girls are going to kiss on screen - it felt emotional. And the laugh she gives after? That was genius.'
American Hustle is released on Friday (December 20) in the US and opens nationwide in the UK on January 1.
