VOLUME: Blake Lively at the CFDA Awards1. Apply a Mousse (and plenty of it!) to create texture and help keep the look in place.
2. Using a hairdryer on full speed, blast the hair but use your hand not a brush - finger drying only.
3. Take a large random section, use medium size tongs to curl the hair and continue to do so over all over the entire head. TIP - always go tighter with curls as they will drop.
4. Then apply volume powder directly onto the root area only (I use Schwarzkopf Extra Care Volume Powder). This mattifying powder will give the hair extra volume without leaving a chalky residue.
5. Shake the hair to free it up while adding hairspray as you go. Separate curls with your fingers to keep some shape, or another option is use a large paddle brush to give a looser look.

2. Take a rough side part and then pull hair back into two mid-head ponytails.
3. Braid both ponytails and secure with elastic bands.
4. Then take one pony tail, then the other, and wrap them around your head, but try and keep volume and texture.
5. Secure with bobby pins and finish with hair spray to keep the style in place.
LONG BOB: Hayden Panettiere at the Music Revolution Event1. On wet hair, apply a Mousse and then blow dry hair using a large round brush to give volume and add shine. I suggest using Schwarzkopf Extra Care Push-Up Volume Mousse because it enables you to achieve that 'push-up effect' instantly.
2. Try and lift the hair at right angles to the scalp for maximum lift.
3. Then using your straightening iron, divide the hair in to manageable sections and run the iron over the mid lengths but try and avoid the root area and the ends.
4. For the finishing touches, keep any fly-aways at bay by smoothing with a hairspray for a smooth, natural finish.
