I'm a sucker for versatility, so that fact that hairstylist Riawna Capri got three looks built on one ponytail she made on Jennifer Morrison yesterday wins my heart. She started out with a regular high ponytail, then took out the bottom half and braided it in sections for look 2.
What she said about the transformation: 'Business on the left and party on the right. Keeping things interesting and unique for the lovely @jenmorrisonlive. #lovethisgirl Cuz she's not afraid to switch it up! #stepoutsidethebox #changeisgood.'
I believe the trick here is that Morrison's hair was originally pulled in two sections: A ponytail was created with the top half of her hear and secured, then the bottom was brought up to meet it before that was secured as well. That way, she could just take down the bottom half and play later without disturbing the front. And both times a piece from the top was wrapped around the elastic band to create a cool swirly effect.
Then, later, Capri whipped the ends into a bun, so she got this hairstyle Morrison wore to the Wish I Was Here premiere.
