Lupita Nyong'o is a woman of many talents. The Oscar-winning actress has proven her skills on the big screen, but now she's revealing a whole new hobby...braids, twist and bantu knots!
After being 'morbidly disappointed' with a hair braiding experience in college, Lupita's aunt taught the beautiful Lancome model how to perfect her cornrow. Initially, Nyong'o thought the talent would earn her some money as a side hustle, but unfortunately she was just too kind to ever charge her customers.
Luckily, she doesn't need a side hustle now! The Vogue cover model took the prestigious magazine into a hair salon with six of her friends and had a good ole' haring braiding bash, just for fun. Affectionately called 'Lu's Do's', Lupita says that her love for hair braiding runs deep. 'Your hair is your frame-it's so important,' she says, adding, 'braiding tells a story.'
