Multi-tiered ponytails have been popping up more and more on the red carpet in the last few months, but I think this one Odette Annable wore to the Vanity Fair and FIAT Young Hollywood event is maybe the best one yet.
Every few inches down the back of her head, her hair was gathered into a ponytail and secured with a small elastic band-but the very first time her hair was also twisted to give it an interesting shape. Then her hair was pulled out from the bands slightly so it puffed out in between them.
Here's how you do something like this:
Step 1) Gather the top part of your hair into a mini-ponytail in the back, secure with a band.
Step 2) A few inches below the first ponytail, create another ponytail, incorporating the 'tail' of pony #1, almost like you're creating the French braid of ponytails. Secure with an elastic band.
Step 3) Pull the hair out a bit from the second band so it billows out a little.
Step 4) Repeat steps 3 and 4 until you reach the ends.
