Original cast member says she wants grey buns and to be 'Granny Leia'

Carrie Fisher has said that she wants to bring back Princess Leia's hair buns when she films scenes for the forthcoming Episode VII movie. As confirmed earlier this year, original stars Harrison Ford, Fisher and Mark Hamill will return for the film, which is being directed by JJ Abrams. They will appear alongside newcomers including Oscar Isaac and Adam Driver. Taking about returning to the hugely successful series and reuniting with her former cast members, Fisher told an audience at The Hay Festival in Wales (via Total Film) that: l'We all look a little melted. It's good to see other melted people. And it is good to have us all in a room because it's unique. I mean, I don't suppose they have reunions for the Gone With The Wind gang.' Another sign of aging that Fisher is keen to show is her hair. 'That hairdo can never really be repeated without gales of laughter,' she says. 'I've begged them to put the hair back on in grey and just catch me cooking with the hair, like Granny Leia.' The seventh installment of the much loved franchise has begun shooting at London's Pinewood studios ahead of a December 2015 release.
