TRENTON - An automobile crashed into a South Ward salon earlier this afternoon, leaving behind a gaping hole and debris in the structure.
Police did not have any information about the crash, but the Shear Latina salon was blocked off with caution tape this afternoon. No information whether anyone was injured was available.
Inside the salon, on South Clinton Avenue and Roebling Avenue, chairs were overturned and a reception desk was crushed against a rear wall. Dozens of magazines were scattered throughout the salon, with a clearing left behind where the car had stopped.
The car appeared to have entered the building near the building's front door, but the glass had been completely removed from a large window facing South Clinton Avenue as well.
The car had been removed from the scene by about 12:30 p.m.
Witnesses on the scene declined to comment about the incident.
