It appears the entire city of Wilmore is going pink for breast cancer awareness month. Well, at least their heads are, anyway.Pink. Pink and more pink. Studio Creations Hair Salon in Wilmore has been busy busy all month long...'Starting Oct. 1, we've been totally pinked out,' said owner Shalah Olson. Decking out - or should we say pinking out - the heads of local residents.'It's caught on quickly and the whole town definitely knows what's going on,' said stylist Amanda Villalobos. The salon decided they wanted to do something big for breast cancer awareness month in their community this year, something that could get people talking and learning about the disease. So, they've been inviting the community to get involved in their first ever 'Pink Out.'

'When you drive through the bank, the bankers are saying 'what's going on? everybody's coming in here with pink hair!' Or when you visit our IGA downtown, everybody knows what's going on,' Villalobos said. They're also doing it in response to the disease hitting close to home, one of their former clients was recently diagnosed and all the proceeds from the Pink Out are going directly to help Lori Baker Jones' family.'Pray and keep them in our hearts, but we were driven to do more than that,' said Olson. So far they've raised more than $2,500. If you'd like to take part, Studio Creations is holding an open house Friday until 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. No appointment is necessary.
