Kim Kardashian's had more faces over the years than the mythological Hydra. Fortunately, she's always had one very recognisable feature if we were ever truly in doubt of her identity.
In the early days Kim became famous for her natural beauty
Kimberly Noel Kardashian is the daughter of Robert Kardashian, the late defense attorney who became famous as part of the team defending O.J. Simpson, and Kris Jenner, the self-proclaimed 'momager', who became famous for...let's say 'marketing' her children. It's never been disputed that Kim is a beautiful woman. Her Armenian roots (heritage, not hair) means she has a desirable complexion, glossy long dark hair and sultry dark features.
When Kim first appeared on the celebutante scene in 2005 she was fresh-faced and bright-eyed, no wonder she'd already taken the eye of a couple of famous fellows, including Brandy's brother, Ray-J. But more on him later. By 2006 Kim was beginning to wear noticeably more makeup and her skin had darkened from it's natural shade to something resembling the colour once favoured by Supermarket Sweep's, Dale Winton.
Back to Ray-J. In 2007 a sex tape than Kim had made with her ex was 'leaked' to the press, catapulting Kim to true celebrity status. The tape is essentially Ray-J zooming in on various parts of Kim's body while she lays about in various poses and/or applies makeup.
Later that year, after Keeping Up With the Kardashians first aired, Kim's face appeared fuller and less mobile and rumours of Botox began to circulate by October 2007. Fortunately, things seemed to have settled by November that year, although rumours of a nose job began to circulate. For the record, Kim has always denied having her nose done, although she has stated in the past that she's very self-conscious of it. Trust us, Kim, no-one's looking at your nose.
When 2010 rolled around Kim was a full-blown celebrity, and her look certainly reflected this! Her thick hair was always perfectly quaffed and curled while she was rarely seen without thick makeup and eyelashes so long we're surprised she didn't trip over them.
In 2012, Kim began a relationship with notoriously humble rapper, Kanye West. Her relationship with Kanye, who is close friends with Jay-Z and Beyonce, would solidify Kim's name on the A-List. Kim would become pregnant later than year with West's baby, but even a heavy pregnancy would not deter her from squeezing her swollen feet into a pair of plastic heels.
Most recently, Kim has opted for blonde hair
Since giving birth, Kim has remained relatively low key (shock horror!), before emerging as a blonde bombshell à la Beyonce. She has recently returned to her dark roots (hair this time), but two days after the dye job, Kim tweeted 'I'm so annoyed I dyed my hair dark! I wanted to switch it up since I feel everyone went light, and we started filming a new season of Keeping Up With the Kardashian, so I wanted a fresh look. BUT now I am missing my light hair! HELP!!!'.
In the Kardashian world, hair problems are akin to an existential crisis, so we can imagine what she must be going through. Hang in there, Kim, there's a light at the end of the peroxide bottle.
