Her older sister Kim regular gushes about how cool she is and how well she can put together an outfit.
And it seems Kylie Jenner fancied proving a point when she paid a visit to Andy LeCompte Salon in Los Angeles on Friday.
The 16-year-old year went all out wearing a leather biker jacket and a skirt featuring a thigh high split that revealed almost all of her leg as she walked.
The daring skirt was teamed with her favourite black Chelsea boots and she wore a simple white T-shirt beneath the edgy leather jacket.
Making sure she left nothing to chance the Keeping Up With The Kardashian's star carried a bag featuring a red fluffy bag and wore a pair of large aviator style shades to cover her eyes.
Her ombre locks, which have recently been chopped fell loose around her shoulders, completing her cool look perfectly as she strolled with a male pal.
Aside from visiting the salon on Thursday Kylie also found the time to time to answer a few of her fans question's via Mobio Insider and when one asked whether she preferred long hair or short, she answered directly 'short for sure'.
And when another asked what she used to make her hair look so great she replied: 'I love voluminous dry shampoo'.
A further fan asked if she missed going to school and being with other kids to which she simply said: 'sometimes yes'.
But its unlikely Kylie is too concerned as not going to school allows her to enjoy a jet setting life style - she's just returned from a trip to New York.
The reality star was joined her 18-year-old sister Kendall and gal pals Anastasia Karanikolaou and Hailey Baldwin.
'Me and stas woke up at 4pm today.. Got massages... And started our day at like 7pm,' she bragged on Twitter.
Despite her recent laid back attitude, it's an exciting time for Kylie who has been in talks to join Diddy's 24-hour music channel, Revolt, as a millenial VJ.
And Chelsea Handler also welcomed the aspiring presenter to guest host her E! late-night talk show 'anytime.'
