Dos and dont's for summer hair care 1. Avani warns against bleaching or colouring hair as bleached hair will get damaged as soon as you enter the swimming pool and blonde colours don't work well in the sun. Go for deeper global colours instead such as mahogany and caramels.2. Don't iron or straighten your hair in the heat, says Shetty. Instead, use a little product and play around with your frizz that will also add volume.3. Nourish your hair. Use light oils on your scalp (not the lengths of your hair). Use hair masques and don't skip on the conditioner, but go a little easy with it.4. Wash your hair regularly, grease is your enemy. If not everyday, use a mild shampoo every alternate day at least. One can also try dry shampoos, easily available in the market, if you're too lazy to wash your hair. Though it isn't a permanent replacement for your usual shampoo.5. Don't get a heavy fringe as it will only bother your forehead. For those with wavy hair, blow-drying your fringe every day in summer, is avoidable.
