One night only event to benefit the Women's Resource Center
ACME - This year marks the 12th annual 'Global.art.Fashion.HAIR Show' in Traverse City. Global is a runway hair and fashion show, bringing the feeling of New York Fashion Week to Traverse City to benefit the Women's Resource Center in the Grand Traverse Area.
Several local salons, hair stylists, clothiers, designers, and many other people are all working together to put on one big runway-type show to benefit a local charity. The show's theme this year is 'Masquerade,' so attendees are encouraged to dress the part and bring masks.
Proceeds benefit the Women's Resource Center in the Grand Traverse Area, a domestic and sexual violence agency providing services and housing to victims in northwest Lower Michigan.
The show will take place Oct. 19 at the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa in Acme. Doors open at 6 p.m. for a cocktail hour. The show starts at 7, followed by an afterglow reception where guests can mingle with models, designers, hair stylists and all the others responsible for putting on the show.
The first 200 general admission tickets in the door receive a Swag bag full of goodies from the event's sponsors.
