See that gorgeous bikini model on the left? And then the dashingly handsome male model on the right? Well they're the same person.
Yes, at 31, model Elliott Sailors realised that her work was drying up, and she'd have a better chance of continuing to bag lucrative gigs if she re-branded as a male model.
'I'm starting over to have a longer career,' she explained to the NY Post. 'Men don't need to look as young as possible, so I have a lot of time.'
The fact that she has a unisex Christian name is just a stroke of serendipity; Elliott was her mother's maiden name.
After she decided to make the career move, she went to a barber shop in New York to get her hair cut off.
Her supportive husband Adam Santos-Coy filmed the whole thing, which turned out to be an America's-Next-Top-Model-style tear-fest.
'It wasn't so much about my hair - it's just hair. It was really that I had been a model for so long. It's what I do. It was saying goodbye to what I had been and knowing that I was starting something brand new, and I had no idea how it would go.'
In this Instagram, Sailors shows off the many faces of Sailors' modelling career ...
Sailors isn't the first female model to attempt a career as a male model: French-born former Olympic swimmer Casey Legler, 36, has done so successfully. The artist/model was signed by Ford's male division last year and has since appeared in multiple editorials, including Vogue, and in campaigns, including shoots for All Saints and Diesel.
