KANSAS CITY, Mo. - October kicks off Breast Cancer Awareness month, and you'll see a lot more pink around Kansas City, even in hairdos.
Highlights Hair Salon on Westport Road, has been placing ribbons of pink in their clients hair. It's an effort to raise money for the ' Ribbons of Pink Foundation,' which supports breast cancer survivors.
The ribbon is a removable pink hair extension, for a $30 donation.
'Over my 30 years of doing hair, I've had many clients go through this. I've had many be survivors, so this is my way, and the salon's way, of recognizing these people,' said Highlights owner Jeffrey Davis.
Highlights Hair Salon is located at 1717 Westport Road in Kansas City, Mo.
