A leading Australian hair care brand teamed with one of our most dynamic native designers when muk Haircare joined with ELLERY at Paris Fashion Week. ELLERY is just the third Aussie designer asked to present at the prestigious fashion event, and this marks muk Haircare's third stint as the stylist behind her designs at PFW.
The haircare brand paired ELLERY's strong, unique shapes and contrasting textures with a look that juxtaposed a graphic pulled back style with soft edges, which gently framed the face. With hair direction by Tina Outens from Streeters, the team utilised Beach muk Sea Salt Spray and finished with Rough muk Forming Cream after twisting the hair into a knot.
'Paris Fashion Week is the most revered and watched fashion event around the world and is the perfect platform for muk Haircare to showcase the brand on a global scale,' said muk Haircare director Mark Gariglio. 'To the guests at the event who all received a muk product to take home, to the international backstage hairdressers using our product, it's amazing exposure which is priceless.'
The partnership was beneficial on both sides, with designer Kym Ellery elated with the styling that so perfectly complemented her work. 'I am so thrilled to be working with muk Haircare for our Paris Fashion Week collection show,' she said. 'This season our collection is inspired by sculptures, textures and tailoring. For our show I wanted the hair to have the same message as well as frame the looks with soft edges and clean lines. It is always about beautiful hair and this season we love how effortless it is.'
