Police are asking people to contact them if they are offered professional hair products following a raid on a salon.
Avon and Somerset Constabulary said a hair salon in the Ilchester area was broken into overnight on Thursday, 27th February.
A similar incident occurred in the Bruton area though police are not sure if the two incidents are connected.
A large amount of high value products from the Ilchester raid include new items from L'Oreal's New Wild Styler range and the Scruff Me Technie range.
A police spokesman said: 'This has caused great inconvenience and upset both to the business owner and customers of the salon.'
Anyone with information should call Avon and Somerset Constabulary on 101.
Owners of similar businesses can also call the police for advice on security.
