Most women don't choose the right hairstyle for their face shape. Of course, experimenting is the only way to find out what suits you best but here is some basic knowhow to help you make the right choice. For the Pear FaceFor instance, a thin or a pearshaped face with straight, long hair would make it appear longer. It's better to get a short or mid-length bob with lots of layers to add volume to your cut. It also helps make your face look more symmetric. If you want to keep your hair long, then opt for styles that have a lot of layers and side bangs to frame your face well. Short or mid-length haircuts work well for those with curly or wavy hair.
For the Round FaceThose with a round face should try to maintain a style that frames the face. Layers starting from the ears till the neck make the face look slimmer. For a fringe, you can also straighten your hair, let it sweep across the forehead and let it go behind the ears.
To Conceal a Large ForeheadFor those with a large forehead, a safe option is to wear bangs. Since bangs are associated more with younger women, you can keep a few strands around the temple of your face-this makes the face look leaner and slimmer.
To Soften your JawlineThose with a strong jawline should soften the face by going in for a short up do that finishes just below the jaw line. In this case, you're lucky if you have naturally wavy hair. Even curly hair works well to soften and conceal a prominent jaw line. Finally, a look that works with most face shapes is the retro wave. This can be achieved by doing a side parting and curling small sections of hair outward. Finish by brushing hair gently and using bobby pins to secure unruly hair.
