MILLIONS of girls would give the world to run their fingers through the hair of One Direction's boys. Lou Teasdale does it for a living.

Not only are these chart-topping performers making loads of cash, their signature hairdos have tweens spending hours in front of the mirror trying to emulate their trademark looks.

And Fudge Urban ambassador Teasdale has the enviable job of styling Harry, Zayn, Louis, Niall and Liam's hair while they travel the globe performing for their fans.

'I have worked with them for nearly three years now so I have become quite quick at it,' Teasdale says. 'If we are doing a video, then we will do something different and will need more time ... whereas day-to-day, when we are touring, to get them all ready it only takes half an hour.

'They don't need much, they look good anyway.'

Teasdale believes the 1D blokes are behind teen boys taking extra care in their appearance.

'The groomed look is very in now,' she says.

'Guys need to remember to use some products rather than just getting out of bed.

'It is about using the right styling product.'

While the women of the world have lusted over Victoria Beckham's famous Pob (Posh bob), not since Justin Bieber's sweep-over have we seen a hair style that so many young boys want to copy.

'I don't think there are many boys who love One Direction; a lot more girls are into them, but I do think boys want One Direction's hair,' she says.

'Boys are using tan, all these hair products, it doesn't have that stigma attached to it like it used to.'

The latest trends for teenage boys' hair?

'Short hair is very in, whereas 10 years ago it was all about overgrown hair and it was all very grungy and cool,' Teasdale says.

'Louis has started doing his hair differently, he has started slicking his hair back. He is going for that preppy David Beckham look.'

Teasdale recreates One Direction's look on five Sydney boys. Here's what she did . . .

Alex

The style I created is quite hard to achieve on your own. I brushed a load of Fudge Urban Iced Raspberry Mousse through it to give it a bit of hold and then blow dried it with a round brush at the front to give it a quiff rather than a fringe to give him a different look. Then, I finished it with some Matte Head Gas, which is the only thing that will hold it properly.

Tomi

I brushed a load of mousse through his hair and then blow dried it really flat backwards, giving it a bit of lift at the front with a brush. Once you've blow dried it into place you can run a load of gel through it and it will set really nicely. It's like a David Beckham look.

Harrison

I scrunched some mousse into his hair and used a hair dryer with a diffuser on it to get it really curly. Then I pulled out the bits and used some wax on the ends, spraying them into place at the front. So I quiffed the front up a little bit and left the back quite curly.

Dylan

Dylan's hair needed wetting down. I put some Sea Salt Spray in it so we could dry it a bit surfy and textured. I then flicked the ends out and flattened the sides down with the hair dryer. So run your fingers through, pull bits out, dry it and then once you're finished I used the Urban Matt Wax. Twisted little bits to make them ping out and look a bit curly.

Aldy

I put a lot of mousse in it, blow dried it round and round to try and get a bit of a bend in the hair. I blow dried the fringe by flicking it out and put a load of Urban Dust in it so it looked really messy like Louis.
