It's about time to put your headphones on and blast Jake Owen's What We Ain't Got, because what we ain't got is his famous hair. No, we're not joking. Whip out the Kleenex and shed a tear (or 10) for the country star's signature long locks. He just got a major chop.

Owen teased his dramatic mane change on Twitter sharing a photo of his freshly-chopped ends scattered all over the floor. Then he went for the big reveal debuting his bold cut along with the caption 'High and tight.' It looks like at least one side of his head is shaved, but we need to wait for a better photo to examine the look from all angles.

We guess we'll have to say goodbye to those beachin' waves (sorry, that's our last Jake Owen joke), but the good news is hair always grows back. And the star's new do is already growing on us.
