This Fun New Tool Will Completely Change the Way You Curl Your Hair

I'm not big on curling my hair for two reasons: 1) I have a lot (a lot!) of hair, and it just seems like it would take forever and 2) I'm a complete klutz and will burn myself. That being said, I recently got a chance to try the new Curl Secret from Conair, and now I might be a convert. I'll try to explain how the Curl Secret works, but first, watch this here Instagram video* demonstrating it on my very own head:

So cool, right? In case it isn't clear from the Instavid, you take a small section of hair, feed it into the curler and push the magic button. Then the hair is literally sucked up into the 'curling chamber' where it sits for eight, ten, or twelve seconds, depending on your hair type/how curly you want your hair to be. When you hear a beeping sound to let you know it's done, you pull the curler off the hair section, revealing a perfect curl every time-sans neck burn! The whole process (including running my fingers through with some serum to loosen the curls a bit) took about 25-30 minutes, which is within my patience zone. I'd imagine a thinner head of hair would only take about 15. Also, if you're as easily amused as I am, the 'now you see the hair, now you don't' action will keep you preoccupied the whole time anyway.

The Curl Secret is available for $99.99 at ulta.com.

*I have no idea why this video is so pink. I promise the filter looked relatively normal when I made it!
