Here's a New Take on Ombre Hair Color: I'm Calling It Sideways Ombre

Yes, I know some of you are sick of hearing about ombre hair color. But as tiresome as the term ombre has started to sound, there's no denying the inherent appeal of hair color that fades from dark to light-it can look so carefree and natural and is often much lower-maintenance than solid allover color. So let's say you've tired of the darker roots/lighter ends ombre hair color look. Here's a totally new, albeit edgier, take on the concept, which I noticed on Tia Mowry (whose angled bob haircut our readers have admired in the past).

One side of her head is blond, while the other's brunette!

OK, so maybe this isn't a look for just anyone. But in a much more toned-down version, I can see how it might be made sorta wearable-say if you made just one front section of your hair highlighted with bright blond while the other side says natural.

What do ya think, girls? Does sideways ombre have potential as a future look, or are you pretty much going with 'no way' on this one? Photo: Getty Images
