Khloe Kardashian stepped out this week sporting the hair color trend that starting to pop up over the summer and seems to be seeping into the fall season as well.

We've seen this both with splashes of color and bright blond tips but make no mistake, it's different from ombre. Ombre is meant to mimic the look of a gradual fade-out that might happen in the sun. The dipped-tip look is a more drastic difference with a clearer line of demarcation between the two colors.
