They keep your hair looking great, but did you know that shampoo, conditioner, and hair spray can work wonders outside of the shower? From soothing band-aid removal to de-shrinking your clothes, read on for ingenious ways to use hair products.

1. Oil Nuts and Bolts. Shampoo is a terrific tool for lubricating stubborn nuts and bolts. Apply a drop of shampoo and let it sit for a minute or two before working on them.
2. Clean the Bathroom. You don't need to look far to clean build-up in the tub - shampoo will work just perfectly. Use it in place of your regular cleaner to tackle all the grime.
3. Clean Chrome. In your bathroom and on your car, a mixture of shampoo and baking soda works wonders on chrome. Combine into a paste and polish as you normally would.
4. Prevent Foggy Mirrors. Stop fogging up the mirrors in your bathroom by dabbing a little shampoo on them before you jump in the shower. This will also work to prevent swim masks and goggles from fogging up.

5. Soften Itchy Knits. Don't suffer for fashion! Soften your itchy wool clothing with some hair conditioner. Soak your sweater in cold water before removing, gently pressing any excess liquid out until the garment is damp. Using your fingers, generously work hair conditioner into the wool and let it sit for about 30 minutes. Rinse off the conditioner, gently press dry again, and leave to fully dry for about 24 hours.
6. Un-Shrink Clothes. Accidentally shrunk your favorite t-shirt? All is not lost! Soak the t-shirt in hot water and a few squirts of hair conditioner for 5-10 minutes. Rinse and let dry fully.
7. Seal Shoe Polish. A good coat of hair spray over just-polished shoes will help preserve the polish.

8. Wash Delicates. Fill your sink up with water, add 1/2 teaspoon detergent and 2 teaspoons hair conditioner. Gently hand wash your lingerie and other delicates.
