Kim Kimble was just announced as the newest hairstylist for Pantene! The celebrity hairstylist shared her favorite fall hair trends with HollywoodLife.com in an EXCLUSIVE interview. It turns out that those luxurious jewel tones trends in fashion and makeup can also be applied to your hair!
Kim Kimble Loves Jewel Tones For Fall 2013 Hair Colors
Kim is all about dramatic style-switchups. 'If you've got a humdrum style, try an edgier, bolder color or a fresh new cut!' Kim said.
She is currently loving deepening hair colors with moody shades of purples and blues, favoring lovely jewel tones saying that 'bright and brassy colors are on their way out this time of year.' Kim is rocking a dramatic purple hue herself - and it looks great!
Not only are deep colors fun and fresh, they are less damaging. 'Deeper color saturation is healthier than bleach,' so you can add color without stressing over your tortured locks, said Kim.
If you're not ready to make the huge color commitment, try it out on your ends! 'Ombre is here to stay!' Kim explained. 'Just try out a color with a rinse.'
Kim Kimble Shares Short Haircut Advice
A major way to change your entire look is to go for a bold short haircut! Look at what chopped cuts have done for Miley Cyrus and Beyonce's edgy styles!
'They are strong women,' Kim said of Beyonce and Miley, 'So people see that and they're ready for a fantastic short cut.' 'They show that there's an elegance to short hair - and that the style can be feminine and match an edgy personality.
'Definitely know what you want to do before you do it,' said Kim of making a bold haircut. 'Know who you are an whose style is similar to yours [when copying a celeb haircut]. Ease into the haircut by going with a more conservative style.'
Kim Kimble's Partnership With Pantene
Kim explained that she is 'impressed with the technology behind the brand' that is Pantene. She is specifically working with the Pantene Natural Collection and Pantene Relaxed Collection, each of which address targeted African American hair concerns. 'I feel confident that the problems that women have or what they want out of their hairstyles can be done with this collection.'
