One person suffered injuries when a elderly driver slammed her vehicle into the front of a Cranberry hair salon Friday, township police said.
The driver, 85, said she made a turn too wide as she was pulling into a parking space at Fantastic Sam's along Route 19, Cranberry police Sgt. Chuck Mascellino said.
The vehicle pushed a front wall into the store, hitting a woman who was waiting for an appointment, Mascellino said. That woman, 49, suffered back injuries and was taken to UPMC Passavant Cranberry. Mascellino did not name either woman.
There were about 10 people in the store at the time of the 10:35 a.m. crash, Mascellino said. He said police were still investigating as to whether the driver would be charged.
