Every year the most beautiful models sashay down the runway at the Victoria's Secret fashion show. This year the models tried something new and took their show to London, but the end result was the same: curls that lasted. We've always wondered how the models maintain flawless hair for the show, so we asked lead stylist Akki Shirakawa for tips on how to get the sexy bombshell hair.
According to Shirakawa, backstage hero products included the cult ghd curve curling tongs, which gave a soft, undone wave that lasts up to 24 hours. But, to ensure the finished look had a London edge, the ends were left loose and uncurled. Finally, a blast from the ghd air hairdryer broke up the curls for a full look.
'Curling in a non-uniform way added real fluid beauty to the hair,' said ghd's head of global education, Jo Martin. 'The ghd curve tongs gave a long-lasting curl that ensured the girls could walk the runway then party afterwards.'
