The married couple left their two-year-old daughter at home on Monday night to attend the Brooklyn Nets vs. Oklahoma City Thunder basketball game at the Barclays Centre were, of course, they had prime court side seats which should be expected considering Jay Z, 44, was previously a part-owner of the team. Beyonce, who has just announced she is releasing a platinum edition of her latest eponymous album, looked chic in a red and white patterned blouse tucked into a skirt teamed with some killer heels, although she seemed pretty keen to hide her outfit, using her jacket and bag to cover her stomach. Something to hide perhaps, Bey?
After sporting a short, blunt fringe last month while in Paris and switching to longer caramel tresses last week, Bey, 33, has changed her hair once again with the singer now sporting a blonde bob with slight curls, similar to a previous style she wore back in September before heading on the couple's On The Run tour. The couple seemed to be in good spirits with Bey laughing away during the game and even sitting on the edge of her seat at one point, looking particularly tense while Jay Z munched away on popcorn and some other treats after mingling with fellow court side attendees.
It looks as though the couple managed to catch up with an old friend backstage at the game, as R&B singer Ashanti shared a photo of herself posing with the couple and her younger sister, Shia, for a photo. Will there be a collaboration in the future between the trio?
The date night came just hours before it was confirmed that Beyonce will be releasing a box set edition of her chart-topping fifth studio album, which was originally released last December. The new version will feature remixes of the tracks from the likes of Nicki Minaj, Jay Z, Pharrell Williams and Kanye West. As well as a couple of new songs, the four disc set will also include a Live DVD with performances from Bey's Mrs. Carter Show tour concert and also the singer's 2015 calendar and photo booklet. Her Beyhive won't have long to wait as it's set for release on November 25.
